Candidate Questionnaire Responses
1. What have been your greatest contributions to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ or to the field of addiction medicine over the last 10 years?
Public awareness of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's mission was one of the primary goals of my ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Presidency. That goal successfully positioned our organization to be both responsive to addiction-related issues as they arise and helpful to the political process which is always relevant to the solution of such issues. The goal, combined with the rise in national addiction-related difficulties, also resulted in our membership roughly quadrupling in the short time since I left the Board.
2. How would your election to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Board of Directors benefit ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and the field of addiction medicine?
Following my past work on the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Board, I have maintained visibility in the field through editorial and advocacy work. I am hopeful to once again speak and advocate for our organization and membership as part of my overall efforts.
